V.I.S.A. prides itself with being a community focussed group. We initiated our community outreach component in May 2007 and have since then, widened our areas of focus and partnered with multiple community based organizations. We have worked and provided service to United Way, the Senior Center, Habitat for Humanity, the OMRAT Conference, Camp for Compassion, and so much more in the past two years.
Community Outreach opportunity by V.I.S.A. helps to develop within us an understanding of people who are different, people with disabilities, people in financial distress, children or the elderly. It allows us to give of ourselves, share our happiness, and express our human values of community and caring while finding solutions to shared challenges. V.I.S.A. helps in building better, stronger, and healthier community.
Volunteering is a great way to show that you care about others and want to make a difference. It doesn't matter what your skills are, we have volunteer opportunities for anyone genuinely interested in making a difference in our community.
Volunteers play a vital role in Canadian society. Across Canada, volunteers are engaged in delivering services and programs that improve and enhance the life of our communities. Volunteers are people just like you.
V.I.S.A. allows us to participate in nurturing our environment. It brings people together for good reasons and common purposes.
V.I.S.A. has promoted volunteerism and raised awareness of the power of service in our campus.
All volunteers in V.I.S.A. have in common is the desire to make a difference in their community and in their own life by giving of their time and expertise. Be a part of V.I.S.A., explore and discover how you can become part of this movement.
Youth volunteers have many reasons for why they volunteer: to discover their talents, to explore career options, to act on their social awareness, to gain self-confidence, or to build a sense of independence. And, V.I.S.A. provides them with all.
