David Bobier is a hard-of-hearing media artist and the parent of two deaf children. His research on the use of vibro-tactile technology as a creative medium will be showcased in this animated lecture and workshop introducing the concept of the Social Model of Disability.  David will explore the cultural history and background and the current practices of the Deaf and Disability Arts globally, nationally and provincially.  He currently works with the Inclusive Media and Design Centre at Ryerson University and Tactile Audio Displays Inc. This program is presented in collaboration with Hackforge, A Home for Windsor’s Tech Community.
