Many Visions
With Many Visions, The Plumes Ensemble re-imagines the music of Canadian electronic music icon Grimes. Thirteen composers, among them Jennifer Bachynsky, Eliot Britton, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Veronica Charnley, Fjóla Evans, Marielle Groven, Emilie LeBel, Nicole Lizée, Giorgio Magnanensi, Stephanie Moore, Monica Pearce, Tawnie Olson, and Carmen Vanderveken., were commissioned by the Cluster: New Music + Integrated Arts Festival (Winnipeg) to respond to and re-interprete the songs from Visions (2012), Grimes’  celebrated third album.

Many Visions is currently being presented on a cross-Canada tour. The tour is supported in part by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Cluster: New Music + Integrated Arts Festival (Winnipeg).

Plumes EnsemblePlumes Ensemble is a hybrid pop/classical group, originating from Montréal, whose recent "homes away from homes" have included New York City and Paris. Singer/guitarist and songwriter Veronica Charnley, former front person for Canadian indie rock group Flotilla, is joined by musicians from diverse backgrounds, including composer and multi-instrumentalist Geof Holbrook, harpist Éveline Grégoire-Rousseau, drummer Karl Jannuska and an expanding cast of chamber musicians including violist Pemi Paull and bass clarinettist Louise Campbell. http://www.plumesensemble.com
