Dr. Norbert Becker BASc ’67, PhD ’70 – Civil Engineering
A Community Hero:
Civil engineer Dr. Norbert Becker, founded Becker Engineering Group in 1977 and is often referred to as a “community hero”. One of his most celebrated project is his restoration of the Nazery African Methodist Episcopal Church, built in 1848 in Amherstburg, Ontario, which was an important station on the Underground Railroad.

Richard Chow-Wah, BAS ’80 – Industrial Engineering
A commitment to lifelong learning -- “You need to continue asking, continue learning and continue to have a strong desire to be the best at what you do”. These words became the plot of Richard Chow-Wah’s success story. Born in British Guyana but raised in Canada, Richard moved from Toronto to Windsor and graduated from the University of Windsor’s Department of Industrial Engineering in 1980

Adrian Vido BASc ’80 – Mechanical Engineering
Success built around teamwork and relationships -- Adrian Vido began his automotive career in 1980 at the Ford Motor Company as a process engineer before assuming a number of key managerial roles beginning in 1983 with Chrysler Corporation. In September of 2005, he returned to Ford as the Windsor Site Manager and Chief Operating Executive assuming responsibility for the company's entire manufacturing footprint in the region

2004 Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year -- Joanne Papari was the recipient of the 2004 Rotman School of Management’s Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Innovation in recognition of her success with Biochem Environmental Solutions
