 Engineering First Year Time Table

What You Can Expect From First Year

First Year Engineering at the University of Windsor consists of about 50-60 hours per week. This includes:

  • attending lectures, labs and tutorials
  • reading your textbooks
  • preparing for assignments and quizzes

You will also find yourself participating in labs and writing reports on the results of your lab work. Some courses will require longer papers or essays and you will have midterms.

Your first year of study is common in order to give you an introduction to the general engineering principles. It also allows you to investigate special fields of interest for subsequent years of study.
