The Women Behind The Charter
The story of The Women Behind The Charter begins with those who insisted that gender equality must be embedded in The Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Every time male politicians shoved gender equality to the side in the Constitutional talks, these women put it squarely back on the table, most famously by organizing the Ad Hoc Committee of Women and the Constitution.
