Speak Up, Speak Out: Morgan McCloskey

“As a first-year student in a Women's Studies class, I can say that I am very glad I decided to take a course in this program. The course I took is called Women in Canadian Society, and it has been very interesting and informative. The things I learned are things that all women should know and become familiar with. The events and terminology brought a sense of empowerment into my life. Before this class I was uninformed and unaware of the many ways in which women are mistreated and poorly represented. Now, I can honestly say that I am more aware of these discriminatory actions and occurrences, as they are a part of our everyday lives. If you are planning on going into Women's Studies you will not be disappointed. You will enjoy the wide variety of topics, and you will become more aware of how gender affects everything we do; it affects the way we are treated as individuals, both positively and negatively.”
