University of Windsor Faculty, Librarian and Administrator Retirees' Listserv

UWFLAR-L is an electronic discussion list primarily for faculty, librarian and administrator retirees of the University of Windsor. Its purpose is to facilitate communication among retirees. All retirees are encouraged to subscribe but anyone who is interested in university retirement issues is invited to subscribe. There is no charge. The Executive of the association may use the list to post information about association activities but all subscribers are encouraged to post anything that might be of interest to retirees - news, information, ideas, concerns, opinions, etc. Anything posted to the list is automatically distributed to every subscriber on the list, and anyone is welcome to reply, either personally to the original sender or publicly to the list . While it is quite acceptable simply to read messages from others, we do hope that subscribers will make use of the list to communicate with fellow retirees. Access to the list is restricted to subscribers.

To "subscribe" to UWFLAR-L simply e-mail to:
listserv@pdomain.uwindsor.ca  

(please note: no "e" at the end of "listserv") with:

subscribe UWFLAR-L Yourfirstname Yourlastname
as the first and only line in the message area.

You will get a request to confirm. Simply use your reply function without including the text of the confirmation message and type "ok" (lower case, no quotes) as the first and only line in the message area. You have 48 hours after receiving the confirm request to do this. You will then receive further instructions for using the list. You may also use the web archive for the list at:

to join the list, post messages and read past messages sent to the list.
