Alex Kais is changing the state of the art for students and educators in Essex, England. A creative arts teacher at Eastbury Community School, Alex facilitates partnerships with important cultural institutions in London, including the Tate Modern. His community outreach and curriculum development work builds bridges for secondary school students with professional art world aspirations and equips colleagues with new pedagogical palettes. His recent “Teach Meet Create” networking event assembled more than 120 LGBTQ+ teachers and allies. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Alex also holds a diploma in teaching musical theatre from the London College of Music.
