Darrell Etherington directs product and corporate communications for a leading global technology company founded and headquartered in Canada. As Head of Communications for the e-commerce giant Shopify, Darrell builds successful strategic communications campaigns and devises tactics for telling his company’s story around the world. In tailoring purpose-driven messages to the specific needs of Shopify’s audience, Darrell applies the complex rhetorical skillset he developed as an English and Creative Writing student at UWindsor. Earlier in his career, Darrell spent a decade as an online journalist writing for outlets like the widely popular technology publication TechCrunch.
