This program is open to First Nations, Métis and Inuit community members only. Materials and a light lunch will be provided.
In this introductory jewellery-making workshop, Joi T. Arcand will speak about her interest in Indigenous language revitalization through her practice as a contemporary artist and designer. Her ongoing creative project, Mad Aunty, features jewellery collections of laser-cut cursive and syllabic Cree words. Participants will explore and dissect the letterform to create their own jewellery.
