Windsor-Essex Career Apprenticeship Program

The Windsor-Essex Career Apprenticeship Program (WECAP) is a partnership between the University of Windsor and Invest WindsorEssex, made possible by funding support from the Canadian Career Apprenticeship Initiative.

WECAP is open to upcoming graduates from Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (FAHSS) undergraduate programs ready to enter the workforce in Spring/Summer 2022. Candidates will participate in a competitive application and interview process with support from Career Development & Experiential Learning through employment readiness workshops and one-on-one career advising.

Those successful in receiving an offer to become an apprentice with a participating WECAP employer will embark on a one-year paid, professional experience that provides mentorship, skill development, and the ability to contribute to the growth and development of a local organization. Participating employers will be reimbursed for four months of the apprentice’s first year of salary.
