Description: Global Creative Technology Inc.; Senior Product Manager

I oversee and manage the hand off of information and execution between the UX/UI Design and Web Front-end SWE teams as they build the required product for our Startup clients.

Our tech stack is currently focused heavily on Vue JS, and Quasar. Quasar is the number one solution based on Vue whether you’re only building a desktop website, a desktop app, a mobile app, or even all of them.

We also run 3 coding boot camps during the Co-op work term; where you could learn our tech stack in unison with the Dev's, taught by our CTO Alex (10 years experience as a Google Engineer).

Web Front-end SWE

In this role I oversee talented students who can assist the engineering team by working on the implementation of our flagship product.

Primary Duties

  • Implement reusable web app components in an Agile environment
  • Provide software documentation both in program code and externally
  • Analyze and troubleshoot program code and correct errors as required
  • Understand technical requirements when implementing complex design specifications
  • Work closely with UX and product leads

Host Education:

  • I studied my undergraduate degree while playing NCAA hockey on an academic scholarship.
  • My entrepreneurial spirit was spawned during this period by an injury that caused a medical withdrawal from the semester for surgery. The abundance of time that I was afforded helped me to identify and execute on the skills I had already acquired; lending them to business development, and team building.
  • Both are lifelong learning experiences, and drawing from my athletic and academic experiences I started to build the base of what is currently now the GCT Corporate Culture.
  • Culture is extremely important, especially in the startup ecosystem.
  • My experience in Beverly Hills with deal flow for VC Funds, as well as my volunteer work that followed at Founder Institute Waterloo lead to me recognizing the tech talent gap in the Pre-seed startup ecosystem which is the fundamental reason Global Creative Technology was incorporated to combat.
