Windsor Regional Hospital is the 15th largest hospital in the Province of Ontario and the 7th largest community teaching hospital, serving a population of about 400,000 people in Windsor and Essex County along with providing tertiary and quaternary care to thousands more.
The hospital is responsible for all acute care services in Windsor and currently operates out of two campuses - the Met Campus and the Ouellette Campus. The hospital has about 4,191 staff members, 538 professional staff, and 890 volunteers. Through Windsor Regional Hospital's affiliation with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry-Windsor Campus, there are also a number of medical school students and resident physicians working at the two campuses.
As the regional provider of advanced care, the hospital provides the following services for the entire Erie St. Clair LHIN: Complex Trauma, Renal Dialysis, Cardiac Care, Stroke and Neurosurgery, Intensive Care, Acute Mental Health, Family Birthing Centre, Neonatal Intensive Care, Paediatric Services, and Regional Cancer services.

The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, headquartered in Detroit, is the largest cancer research and provider network in Michigan and has 16 treatment locations. It is one of 51 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer treatment and research centers in the United States.
Family Respite Services (FRS) works with 1200 families caring for children with disabilities. Over 600 Direct Support Providers work directly in families homes this is 4-6 hours/week. Many of these children live with a Medical Health Challenge.
FRS has two staffed homes for children with complex needs to access afterschool crisis programs, weekend programs and a specialized summer day camp program. Many nursing students work at these homes 30 hours/week. FRS provides shortbreaks to caregivers, while children have the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities with a Direct Support Provider.

These include the Operating Rooms, the Post-Anesthetic Care Unit, Day Surgery, Minor Surgical Clinic, Pre-admission Clinic and the Endoscopy Unit. General Surgery, Dental Surgery and Endoscopy services are provided by a team of nurses, surgeons and anesthetists. Our team is made up of experienced physicians, nurses and clerical staff who are there to support our patients and their families. In February of 2011, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) branches in Sarnia Lambton and Chatham Kent, Ontario merged to form one branch: CMHA Lambton Kent. The merger created a strong branch capable of providing professional mental health experts and additional resources to serve the Lambton Kent region. In Lambton Kent, CMHA provides a wide range of innovative and individualized services as well as community and workplace education to over 1800 adults and youth each year. CMHA Lambton Kent services are client driven, with an integrated organized approach to meet the needs and choices of people who have been diagnosed with mental illness. CMHA services are divided into three categories: Crisis Intervention and Short Term Services, Integrated Client Services, and Mental Health Promotion. The purpose of these services is to help individuals develop and maintain their capacity to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible in the community, and to develop the personal tools they need to lead meaningful and productive lives.
