MSW- Our MSW program is geared toward students seeking professional knowledge and skills within an ecological systems perspective. There is an emphasis on the ‘interrelationship’ across levels of practice, including those between individuals and their environments and the impact the environment has on individuals. Instruction centers on a range of frameworks which include, but are not limited to: family context, organizational infrastructures, service systems, network linkages, political, cultural and social forces, social work roles and values, and professional issues.
MSW for Working Professionals- The MSW for Working Professionals program is based on the principles of the ecological perspective in social work practice (microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, and macrosystem). The primary objective of the program is to promote the development of practice skills and knowledge producing graduates who are able to assume leadership roles in the provision of direct and indirect practice with vulnerable populations.
This program requirements are modeled after our full-time on-campus MSW program, however you will be enrolled in exclusive sections of these courses that are limited to students in the MSWwp program. Students will take the prescribed courses sequentially.
PhD- The School of Social Work at the University of Windsor is a dynamic and progressive leader in social work education. The School’s faculty engage in original, cutting-edge research aimed at advancing scholarly knowledge in a number of critically important social areas including: health, community capacity building, mental health, gerontology, poverty reduction and child welfare.
