University of Windsor Cheese Club, Rick got his big break and joined the team at Windsor Independent alternative newspaper during his final year of study at the University of Windsor.
As the newspaper’s Creative Director, he continues to oversee the creative team by managing and executing ad design, marketing initiatives, and social media campaigns.
Further solidifying a compatible business relationship with the newspaper’s editor-in-chief, the two established Shoutabout, a boutique marketing agency where they sought out clients such as the Trailer Park Boys, various Ontario craft brewery’s, and local startups.

Upon completing his degree, Liam accepted an offer to join the Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Organization as an International Communications Specialist located out of their World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This position supports the FCA International Market Communications team and the national market organizations in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Liam has recently accepted the position of Corporate Communications Manager for for FCA Australia. He would like to thank the University of Windsor and the Department of Communication, Media and Film for providing him with the knowledge and support to succeed in this career.

Matt spent 4 years on both the Dean’s Honour Roll and the President’s Honour Roll, and received numerous scholarships, and the Board of Governors Medal for the highest academic standing.
Currently a freelance filmmaker based out of Toronto, but serving all of Southwestern Ontario, he is creating commercials with a cinematic flair and has worked with brands such as Microsoft and Honda.
He recently won Best Cinematographer for Branded Content at the 60th Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards for his latest commercial: “Storm”.
Matt is the youngest person to win this prestigious national cinematography award, which recognizes the winning cinematographer as a true Director of Photography.

After completing his degree, Brady accepted an offer to join the campus/community radio station CJAM 99.1 FM as Program Director. Brady was responsible for maintaining all programming (over 80 radio programs), recruiting and training new volunteers, ensuring that all programming met CRTC and CJAM policy/mandate, as well as organizing events and special programming.
In 2016 Brady accepted an offer to become the Station Manager of CJAM FM. As Station Manager, Brady is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the station operations and acts as liaison between the Corporation and the University, the UWSA, the NCRA, the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal governments, the CRTC, and the Windsor/Detroit community.

Spencer is an Assistant Digital Specialist at OMD in Toronto. OMD is the reigning Ad Age "Agency of the Year" and has won the award 9 times in the past 11 years.
His job is to manage online advertising campaigns--including the planning process, buying process, and creative process--for corporations such as Pepsi, Mercedes-Benz, and AGF Mutual Funds. Spencer is extremely grateful and excited to be working at an internationally renowned advertising agency.

Charlie is currently a freelance photographer in Toronto. He began his life after University pursuing film as an intern for the post-production house Redlab.
Once that was finished, he was able to get an internship for NBA TV Canada. After interning for a year there, he started to do freelance work for them.
He continues to work for NBA TV Canada, and also does work with a bunch of other brands/outlets such as Nike, SLAM, Sportsnet, Sport Chek, Gatorade, Hennessy, Airmiles, Adidas, Under Armour and Footlocker.

Jenn currently works for the MEC Global advertising agency in downtown Toronto. She works on broadcast media buying for the L'Equipe L'Oreal (better known as L'Oreal Paris) account.
In addition to media buying, Jenn works closely with the traffic department, which is the connection between the creative agency, television stations, and MEC Global.
Jenn feels fortunate to have the opportunity to work for a company where every member is passionate about their career and the company.

Jane E. McArthur is currently a PhD Candidate of the Doctoral Program in Sociology (Social Justice) at University of Windsor, with a focus that integrates environmental sociology, environmental health, and action and advocacy through research.
She has worked for community organizations such as Windsor Occupational Health Information Service (WOHIS), Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW) and University of Windsor, producing videos, writing reports and serving on committees advocating for worker and community health.
Jane has also been a member of several local research projects, including the Lifetime Occupational Histories Record investigating links between workplace exposures and breast cancer; Reducing Chemical Exposures, a community consultation/research initiative in collaboration with Toxic Free Canada; and Double Exposure, an investigation with dozens of local farmers among others on the health of agricultural workers in Essex and Kent counties.

After graduating, Safi stepped into a job at ToonBox Entertainment as a Marketing and Sales Coordinator. He worked on the company’s first full-length feature film release, The Nut Job, starring Katherine Heigl, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, and Brendan Fraser.
After wrapping up the film, Safi decided to move into the advertising space and started a new venture as a Media Assistant at Active International. He then moved on to Just Eat Canada and gained an incredible amount of experience working at the tech startup.
Currently Safi lives in Pakistan and is a Creative Manager at Grey Density as the lead on brands such as Mountain Dew, Mirinda & Cinnabon. Safi’s long-term goals include going back to school and eventually becoming a Communication professor! He is currently working towards a MSc in Media and Communications at LSE.

Upon completion of his MA, Travis accepted an offer to pursue a doctorate in sociology at the University of Windsor.
He is now a PhD candidate, conducting a discursive ethnography of panhandling in Windsor. His research involves a combination of critical discourse analysis of media and policy texts with in-the-field observation and ambulant interviews of panhandlers.
Travis is also actively involved in labour organizing with the Windsor branch of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) and the Street Labourers of Windsor (SLOW) which is dedicated to organizing street people including panhandlers, sex workers, and buskers and other street artists.
He is also an accomplished singer-songwriter.

Zack Berjawi owns his own business (Darkgard3n Productions) and operates as a Creative Director, producing video ads, promos, and photography for corporations and artists in the Windsor and Toronto areas.
He also works closely with Transition to Betterness (Windsor) to create their video advertising campaigns.

Josh has recently joined the Office of the Graduate Studies at OCAD University as its Graduate Program Coordinator.
He has many years of experience in the higher education sector, from working as a Graduate Assistant, a Student Liaison Officer for the University of Windsor, Director of Student Life for the University of Windsor Student Alliance (UWSA), and most recently as a Programming Coordinator, Humber College Student Federation.
Most recently, Joshua worked at the award winning, BT/A Advertising agency as a Brand Activation Team Lead & Marketing Coordinator where he coordinated and lead a local campaign logistics and deployment of an international client brand activation.

During her final year in the program, Lauren McDonald completed an internship with AUTO21, a national, Federally funded automotive research network.
Her knowledge and expertise gained in the Communication, Media and Film program allowed her to excel during the internship, turning her contract into a full-time position upon graduation.
Lauren then spent three years with AUTO21, working in public relations, communications, and event management as a Special Projects Coordinator.
Lauren is currently pursuing an MBA degree to combine her love of business and social justice.
She plans to return to marketing to help companies forge ahead of their competition through innovative and creative marketing plans.

Emily Branton is the President of Link2Feed, a social enterprise dedicated to providing food banks with the software solutions to ensure “everyone gets a meal.”
As President, she manages business strategy, international expansion and branding for Link2Feed, which is quickly becoming the global standard for food bank software.
Emily is passionate about the power to use business for social good and is proud to be leading the team at Link2Feed.
Her B.A.[H] in Communication Studies not only gave her the practical skillset to excel in her career, but also the passion to leave a lasting social impact through her work.

Jennifer Budinsky currently works as the Manager of Programs and Social Media for CSI International, an employee enablement and e-learning organization helping companies create exceptional employee and customer experiences.
Jennifer also works as an independent Actress and Producer on various television and film projects in Toronto. Previously, she worked as the Manager of Marketing and Communications at Green Living Enterprises, Canada’s leading cause marketing and event agency.
In Jennifer’s current role, she immerses herself in various human resource communities, representing CSI’s corporate voice and viewpoint.

After graduation, Lauren was quickly hired at RedLab Digital, which at the time was the only company in Canada working with RED footage.
From there, she moved on to one of Toronto's top commercial post production houses, School Editing, where she quickly became an indispensable asset and was promoted to editor in 2016.
Lauren has been in involved in numerous high profile projects, such as various Rush Live Concert DVD's and their live show content, Nike, Budweiser and Subaru campaigns.

Upon completing his Masters degree, Ramon worked as a court reporter in Toronto. He then studied law in the Gold Coast, Australia where he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Bond University.
He is now a Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public who practices primarily Criminal and Family Law. He has appeared on both Provincial and Federal matters in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice.
Ramon has experience in Child Protection Applications, Children's Aid Society, Custody and Access cases, Divorce Applications, Dangerous Offender Applications, Impaired Driving, Drug Trafficking, Bail Hearings, Domestic Assaults, Highway Traffic Act and Provincial Offence Act cases and Small Claims Court.

Christie Bezaire is currently the Weekend Anchor & an award winning reporter for CTV Windsor.
Christie graduated from the University of Windsor’s Communication Studies Program in 2005. During her last semester, she interned at CTV (then named the New WI) and was hired as a prompter operator and tape editor shortly after graduating.
She has now been sharing stories and information with Windsorites for 10 years, working in various positions in the areas news, weather and sports in both Windsor and London.
Christie proudest professional moments include breaking the diluted chemotherapy drug scandal for CTV and winning a national RTDNA award for her investigative report on cell phone security in the wake of the Kwame Kilpatrick scandal.
A proud Windsorite and passionate community member, Christie has hosted numerous events that benefit charities and local organizations.

Born in the historic town of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Graham developed a fascination with cinema through the very well stocked local video store.
After graduating from the University of Windsor in 2005 he went to work in the Toronto Film Industry as a freelance production employee.
He has gone onto do production work on over 500 broadcast commercials, films, music videos and television programs.

Theodore Bezaire is an award-winning writer/director whose short films have found success around the world including the Audience Choice award for PRIA at both TIFF Kids Toronto and the NBC Universal Comedy Short Cuts Festival in Los Angeles.
Theodore has worked with numerous notable Canadian organizations such as CBC, Corus Entertainment, BravoFACT! and Telefilm Canada.
Theodore recently completed work on his second feature film THE BIRDER, starring Tom Cavanagh (The Flash) and Fred Willard (Best in Show), and it is currently available across Canada.

Acclaimed television and film editor Jordan Krug - who has worked on award-winning TV shows including “Departures”, and music videos with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Serena Ryder and Simple Plan - has joined Suede Productions.
Krug, spent 15 years as an A-list freelance editor in Toronto, continues his work in expanding the film and television business here in Windsor.
Jordan Krug has edited multiple award-winning or award-nominated music videos, including videos for Wintersleep, Snoop Dogg, Serena Ryder, Classified, Tokyo Police club and Simple Plan. His music video work has a combined total of over 100 million views on Youtube.

Asha studied at the University of Windsor, graduating with an Honours degree in Communications. In her final year, she completed a freelance program with CBC Windsor and interned at The New WI.
A native of Toronto, Asha has worked in three provinces and one territory as an Anchor and Reporter. Asha started out as a TV news writer in Toronto but quickly moved in front of the camera, reporting in London, Winnipeg, and Edmonton.
She made the trek to the great white north in 2010, working for the CBC in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Asha joined CBC News Network a year later as a Breaking News Reporter and Host. She also co-produced and hosted the first-ever program on the national network called Being Black in Canada.
In the summer of 2013, Asha made the move back to the city where her journalism career began. Asha Tomlinson is a new member of the investigative team at Marketplace.
As a breaking news reporter she covered the Lac Megantic disaster and the Alberta floods. She’s also a weekend host of CBC News Network and is the co-producer of the CBC News special Being Black in Canada.

Co-founder of L-SPARK, Canada's only B2B SaaS Incubator and Accelerator, Patrick White is aseasoned executive in the high tech sector with significant experience in startups, entrepreneurship, and business development.
Patrick comes from a long history with Wesley Clover International, acting as Director of Government Programs for several years while liaising directly with Sir Terry Matthews and securing funding for the Wesley Clover portfolio of companies.
An entrepreneur himself, Patrick founded Brookstreet Pictures, whereby he managed all financial and staffing aspects of the business, as well as coordinated all sales and distribution channels.
He produced the feature film, "Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer" as well as several short films that have played at major film festivals such as Toronto International Film Festival, The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival and The Palm Springs International Short Film Festival.
