Summer Institute of Clinical Health Research

This intensive one-week Summer Institute will provide participants with 30 hours of in-depth exploration and discussion of the principles and applications of clinical health research.  Participants will be engaged by a team of experts in discussions pertaining to the understanding and applications of topics such as qualitative research and evidence based practice, the use of mixed methods in clinical health research, epidemiologic research designs, clinical trials, and statistical modeling techniques in clinical health research.  Other topics will include successful grant writing, running a successful research program and ethical issues in clinical health research.

  • Improve your personal, professional practice and delivery of services in your healthcare setting. 

  • Acquire knowledge and skills to conduct and/or contribute to meaningful research. 

  • Address learning goals of the Quality Assurance Program for College of Nurses of Ontario and/or continuing education requirements of your professional organization. 

  • Network with academic and clinical researchers and practitioners.

  • Enhance awareness of the process and components of clinical research.
