Exhibition to provide a peek into the past

The Assumption Heritage Trust Foundation presents an exhibition of pieces preserved by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, Wednesday, November 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Art Gallery of Windsor.

Organizers promise “a peek into the past and a look into the future.”

Connie Giglio, the foundation’s director of public affairs, said the teaching order had touched countless lives since its founding in 1843.

“Through the benefit of this exhibit you will have the opportunity to experience carefully preserved books, pictures, artifacts and speak with several of the Sisters,” she said. “This is a unique occasion to view materials from the Sisters’ archives dating back to the mid 1800s.”

Admission to this exhibit is free; the Art Gallery of Windsor is located at 401 Riverside Drive West.
