Sessions offer opportunities for professional development

Three sessions offered in October by Human Resources promise UWindsor employees information and understanding.

  • Understanding Your Pension Plan – The Basics: for members of the Employees’ Retirement Plan
    October 16, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Oak Room, Vanier Hall
    This session will be of interest to new plan members, or anyone who wishes to become familiar with the basic provisions of the Employees’ Retirement Plan. Topics will include plan design, plan membership, plan funding, and plan entitlements during employment leaves.
  • Understanding Your Response to Change
    October 22, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Oak Room, Vanier Hall
    Everyone has a reaction to change. Understanding one’s own reaction to change is the first step in dealing with it. This session will explore the threetypical responses to change and the behaviours that characterise them. Through the self assessment instrument, Change Reaction, participants will learn about their typical reaction to change and will explore strategies to embrace and manage change.

    October 29, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Oak Room, Vanier Hall
    This session will be of interest to new plan members, or anyone who wishes to become familiar with the basic provisions of the Retirement Plan for Faculty and Certain Employees. Topics will include plan design, plan membership, plan funding, and plan entitlements during employment leaves.
