Knowledge of losses wins fan tickets to watch women’s basketball team in action

Kinesiology professor Sarah Woodruff has detailed each of the Lancer women’s basketball team’s three losses over the past three seasons, winning her tickets to see the squad begin its title defence during the quarter-finals of the Bronze Baby tournament, March 14 at the St. Denis Centre.

Dr. Woodruff’s contest entry was selected at random from all those which correctly noted that the Lancers dropped games to the Ottawa Gee-Gees and Toronto Varsity Blues in 2011/12 and to the Carleton Ravens in 2013/14—Windsor’s only defeats since winning its first national championship in 2011.

The Lancers finished this season with a 21-1 record, the sixth straight year the team won 20-plus games, and not coincidentally, its sixth consecutive Ontario University Athletics west division regular season title.
