Gemma Cunial, an MFA student of film and media arts, is calling on young aspiring filmmakers to submit their works for a new project to present their talents. The Windsor Youth Short Film Showcase is a livestream screening for films by residents of Windsor-Essex between the ages of 13 and 24 years.
“This is an opportunity to give young filmmakers a platform to present their films and to be recognized across the community for their work,” says Cunial.
The project has received a grant from the city’s Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund under its enhanced program in response to COVID-19.
Entries are welcome through May 20, and selections will be screened over social media from June 5 to 12. Viewers will vote for a series of audience choice awards. Find details on the project website.
