CAW 2458 PART-TIME – Office and Clerical Unit

#2011-PT-06 Administrative/Financial Clerk ‘4’ (part time), in Biological Sciences
Hours of work: (up to 24 hours per week), Mondays to Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Administrative/Financial Clerk will be will provide clerical support to the Department Head related to financial and administrative matters. More specifically, the Administrative/Financial Clerk will be responsible for completion of cheque requisitions, reconciliations and reimbursements record keeping (electronic and paper filing), prepare FIS journal entries where required, basic clerical support of copying, distribution, complete key requests and fax to Key Control, act as primary contact for building related issues (leaks, housekeeping) and advise Facilities via work orders. The successful candidate will have demonstrable accounting knowledge, including experience with the University’s Financial Information System (FIS) or a computerized accounting system. Excellent computer skills, including a proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and 40 NWPM typing are essential. The successful candidate must also have knowledge and experience with the implementation of financial policies. As well excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with other areas on campus in a professional manner are required.
