Faculty retirees sought for student support initiatives

Student and International Affairs is seeking retired faculty who are interested in volunteering to assist with student support initiatives on campus, particularly learning support.

“We are looking for retirees from all faculties, including those who have experience working with students at the graduate level,” says Brooke White, executive director of student affairs. “Please consider sharing your vast expertise with students who would benefit tremendously from this experience!”

She says this support would require a commitment of four hours a week, from the last week in September to the end of classes in the fall term. The program will be looking for similar volunteer support for the winter term as well.

Retired faculty members interested in helping students to strengthen their learning strategies, including their writing skills, should contact White at 519-253-3000, ext. 3287, or e-mail mouse@uwindsor.ca.
