Former Lancer to helm men’s volleyball program

A UWindsor alumnus and former captain of Lancer men’s volleyball says he is flattered to be named the team’s head coach.

James Gravelle (BA 1998) has served two seasons as an assistant coach; athletics director Gord grace announced his appointment to the top spot Wednesday, following the departure of former head coach Shawn Lippert.

“I am honoured and excited for the opportunity to guide the men’s volleyball program to the top of the OUA,” Gravelle said. “The team has a solid foundation to build upon, and with the addition of a few key pieces we will be able to bolster the lineup for next season.”

During his student days, Gravelle was twice named an all-star by Ontario University Athletics.
