Share your memories

Dig your old photos out of albums, shoeboxes and desk drawers and let them spark a memory for a schoolmate.

The University of Windsor is inviting grads, retirees, employees and friends to submit photographs of their days on campus to help celebrate the University’s 50th anniversary.

Alisa Giroux-Souilliere, social media coordinator in the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, is compiling online albums representing each decade of the University’s history.

“I’m sure there are some wonderful images that will conjure up fond memories for people,” she says. “I hope people will want to include them and help to shape our story.”

Also in the works is a display of memorabilia, featuring everything from yearbooks and pennants to posters and team jerseys. Organizers ask anyone with an item to submit a photo for consideration.

E-mail either period photos for the albums or pictures of an artifact for display—along with a description of the context—to anniversary@uwindsor.ca.
