Poetry manuscript an exploration of diaspora: student

A Master’s candidate in creative writing will discuss his poetry manuscript in relation to “a poetics of diaspora,” today—Tuesday, January 28—at 4 p.m. in room 209, Essex Hall.

Faizal Forrester says that in his free public presentation, entitled “Refused Identifications/Refused Diasporas,” he wishes to “underline a certain critical impasse with the retroactive imaginative impulses of certain narrativizations of diaspora.”

Forrester is a student fellow of the Centre for Research in Reasoning, Argumentation and Rhetoric, which is sponsoring today’s event.
