Agencies to present information on preparing for emergencies

Natural disasters may be beyond your control, but there are ways to reduce the risk and the impact of whatever emergency you might face—whether natural or human-induced.

Emergency Preparedness Week, May 4 to 10, encourages Canadians to be prepared to cope on their own for at least the first 72 hours of an emergency while rescue workers help those in urgent need.

Campus Community Police Service is partnering with Windsor Fire and Rescue Services, the Red Cross and the Essex-Windsor Health Unit to offer information and resources for staying safe Tuesday, May 6. The drop-in event runs 9 a.m. to noon in the CAW Student Centre Commons.
