Buttons identify a welcoming presence for campus visitors

Student recruitment staff asks UWindsor employees to welcome visitors to open house today by wearing their “Ask Me” buttons emblazoned with the University’s logo.

“What our guests need most is a smile, a greeting, and basic information or directions,” says Zora Savic, communication and events coordinator in the student recruitment office. “I know our faculty and staff appreciate the importance of a friendly welcome to prospective students and their families.”

The buttons help visitors to identify people who are willing and able to assist, she says.

Open house features tours of campus facilities and amenities, sessions on academic programs, and an information fair running 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second floor of the CAW Student Centre. Visitors unsure of where to go should check in inside the tent located in the Student Courtyard between Memorial and Dillon halls.
