Aviators soar in campus competition

What’s the difference between poker and paper airplanes? With paper airplanes, you have to fold to win.

Dozens of UWindsor students threw their entries into competition Tuesday in the St. Denis Centre, seeking glory in the Red Bull Paper Wings contest. All of the local champions finished among the country’s best:

  • Moaaz Elsayed topped the distance category with a flight of 28.5 m;
  • Karam Younis scored the longest airtime at 8.10 seconds; and
  • Mohammad Gouda had the most involved aerobatic performance, with 25.5 of a possible 30 points.
