International development office seeking student ambassadors

It takes a special set of skills to reach out to students considering the University of Windsor—especially those new to Canada, says Anita Bondy, marketing coordinator for the International Development Office.

She is seeking to hire international student ambassadors to represent the school in conversation with prospects around the world.

“They will have a script to follow that covers general questions, but will also have to be able to think spontaneously to answer unexpected questions about campus services and student life,” Bondy says. “We are hoping to find senior students with origins outside of Canada, with knowledge of both our academic programs and supports, as well as understanding of international students’ needs.”

The part-time positions pay $15 per hour, for five to 15 hours a week. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Friday, January 8. E-mail a resume and cover letter to Bondy at abondy@uwindsor.ca.
