Faculty and alumni to sound off in brassy concert

Music instructors and graduates from the UWindsor School of Creative Arts are among the featured performers at a concert Sunday exploring the repertoire for trumpet.

“Trumpets Black and Blue” will see faculty members Ross Turner and Bob Fazecash take up the instrument — Turner at the classical end of the spectrum and Fazecash fronting a jazz combo. Joining them are fellow instructors Mike Karloff on piano and Mike Stone on trombone, as well as alumni Mike Palazzolo on bass and Will Szeverenyi on saxophone and clarinet. Also on the program are drummer Kevin Venny and student trumpeter Alexander Litwin.

The concert begins at 4 p.m. November 13 at Mackenzie Hall, 3277 Sandwich Street. Admission is $20, with a $5 price for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at the door or online at www.4thwallmusic.org.
