Truck tomorrow to pick up Adopt-a-Family donations

Offices that have collected for the Adopt-a-Family program of the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation must drop off their gifts at the Welcome Centre on Tuesday, December 6, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The program recruits sponsors to provide toys, clothing and food to assist families through the holidays. UWindsor departments and individuals have committed to helping 46 local families in need, says organizer Mary Anne Beaudoin.

“We had a great response this year,” she says. “We know that we can make a difference for some children, giving them a happy holiday season.”

The foundation has provided a truck to deliver parcels from campus to its offices for distribution. It will park on the loading dock on the west side of the Welcome Centre.
