Campus services announce revised hours for semester’s start

A number of campus services have posted revised hours of operation for the period leading into the fall semester — food outlets, the UwinCARD office, Campus Bookstore, law library, and CAW Student Centre have all released amended schedules.

All Food Services will be closed Saturday, September 1, with the following outlets opening Sunday, September 2: the Bru in Alumni Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the Crocodile Grill in Vanier Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the Marketplace in the CAW Student Centre from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the Subway, Pizza Pizza, and Booster Juice stations opening at 11 a.m.

On Monday, September 3, the Crocodile Grill will serve dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. and the Bru will open from 5 to 11 p.m. daily through Sunday, September 9.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, September 4 and 5, the Marketplace will open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; the Crocodile Grill from 7:45 to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; the Starbucks in the Toldo Centre, the Dividends in the Odette Building, and the Tim Hortons in the Centre for Engineering Innovation will open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Marketplace will operate from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 6; the Crocodile Grill from 7:45 to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Starbucks, Dividends, and the CEI Tim Hortons will open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Friday, September 7, the Marketplace will open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m; the Crocodile Grill from 7:45 to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Starbucks from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Dividends and the CEI Tim Hortons from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Marketplace will open on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., less its pasta, burger, and juice stations; and the Croc will serve breakfast from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dinner from 7 to 11 p.m.

The UwinCARD office will open on the weekend to meet demand for student identification, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, in a satellite location in the Centre for Engineering Innovation, and back in its home B-07 in the CAW Student Centre on Monday, September 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; September 4, 5, and 7; from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and extend operations to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 6. The office will resume normal hours — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, on September 10.

The Campus Bookstore will operate extended hours during the rush — opening 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, September 5 and 6, as well as September 10 to 13. It will open for its usual hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 4, 7, and 14; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekend days of September 8, 9, and 15. It will close Sunday, September 16, and resume regular hours on Monday, September 17.

The Paul Martin Law Library will open 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Thursday and Friday, August 30 and 31; close Saturday through Monday, September 1 to 3; and begin fall hours of operation on Tuesday, September 4:

  • Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 10:50 p.m.
  • Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.
  • Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.
  • Sunday, 1 to 10:50 p.m.

The CAW Student Centre will open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, and commence its regular hours on Sunday, September 2 — 7 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. weekends.
