Mental health focus of workshop for graduate and teaching assistants

A workshop for UWindsor graduate and teaching assistants will help them to understand mental health, recognize signs of distress, and know when to seek support.

Organized by the GATA Network, “Mental Health 101” will give participants a chance to practice self-care tips for maintaining their own wellness, managing stress, and practicing a balanced life.

Facilitator Ashley Vodarek, the University’s mental health and wellness co-ordinator, will discuss campus resources, after-hours and emergency services, and more. The event even offers free pizza.

The workshop is scheduled for 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Thursday, November 15, in Alumni Hall’s McPherson Lounge. For more details or to reserve your spot, visit the event website.
