An event today — Tuesday, November 6 — in the Odette Building promises food, fun, and social change.
The Bystander Initiative, which aims to cultivate community responsibility for preventing sexual violence, has partnered with the student-run social enterprise the Liberty Project to host an escape room from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room 123, Odette Building.
The “interactive and educational” event will also feature photo booth, prizes, snacks and refreshments, says organizer Daniella DiBiase.
“Our goal is to shift the campus climate, to build a community that looks out for each other and does not tolerate sexual violence,” she says. “We are trying to create social change by creating a safer campus community for all.”
The Bystander Initiative offers a three-hour sexual assault prevention workshop and two courses to educate students at the University of Windsor.
