Windsor Law awards recognize dedication to equitable and inclusive environment

Windsor Law students, faculty, and staff enjoyed a day full of celebrations and awards on Wednesday, Jan. 30 — Multifest, organized by the Student’s Law Society and the Equity and Diversity Committee, has been an annual event for several years.

Multifest provides an opportunity for the law school community to celebrate its diversity and learn more about different cultures and groups. Student clubs set up display tables that included posters, handouts, activities, cultural dress, food, and music.

The event also featured presentation of the annual Equity & Diversity Awards, which recognize members of the Windsor Law community for their dedication to fostering an equitable and inclusive environment within the Faculty of Law and beyond.

In the staff category, awards were presented to Michelle Nahdee, Indigenous studies co-ordinator, and clinical therapist Laura Little. In the student category, Stephanie Pangowish and Davide De Luca received awards for their contributions to enhancing equity and inclusion at the University of Windsor.
