Ecologist to open 13-week seminar series

A presentation by UWindsor professor Catherine Febria on Friday, Sept. 13, will launch the 2019 edition of a seminar series hosted by the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research.

Dr. Febria is the founding director of the Healthy Headwaters lab, which conducts research on the streams, drains, and wetlands that feed larger bodies of water. The work serves to address challenges affecting freshwater around the world.

Now in its 15th year, the GLIER Seminar Series features diverse disciplines and perspectives in research, communications, science policy, and training. Attendance is free and open to the public.

Each of its 13 entries runs 10 to 11 a.m. in room 250 of the London Life Environmental Research Centre, the Davidson Conference Centre for Environmental Excellence. Find a full line-up of speakers and online registration on the seminar website.
