Committee accepting applications for Giving Tuesday projects

Are you involved in a project on campus in need of funding and support?

The 2019 Giving Tuesday committee is seeking university-based projects requiring funding and support, to be highlighted throughout the campaign.

Giving Tuesday is an international movement to promote community and philanthropic giving immediately following the commercialism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The date this year is Dec. 3.

The UWindsor Giving Tuesday committee is looking to promote projects and causes across campus, using the profile of this worldwide campaign to raise awareness as well as money.

“We want the University of Windsor community to see all of the great things that are happening on campus that Lancers can support,” says Chris Knack, annual giving co-ordinator and Giving Tuesday committee lead. “It’s an opportunity to showcase the amazing work being done here on campus.”

Projects will be highlighted throughout the month of November. Organizers encourage students, faculty, staff, and alumni to apply for consideration no later than Friday, Oct. 11.
