Updated handbook to help instructors support students with accommodation needs

A new publication from Student Accessibility Services is intended to align the inclusive teaching and learning environment with provincial guidelines for academic accommodations.

The Student Accessibility Instructor Handbook provides updated information to help instructors in their continued efforts to support students with accommodation needs.

“Faculty members and instructors are essential partners in the academic accommodation process and need to be updated on roles, responsibilities, and accessible design so that we can ensure we are providing our students with the best support,” says Joyceln Lorito, learning strategist in Student Accessibility Services.

“We have worked hard to update the information included in this handbook and have also created a frequently asked questions section to answer common questions that our office receives.”
