Board ratifies collective agreements

The University of Windsor Board of Governors has approved new three-year collective agreements with Unifor 2458, which represents full and part-time office and clerical staff, stationary engineers, and refrigeration mechanics; Unifor 444, representing special constables and parking services staff; and a six-year collective agreement with CUPE 1001, representing housekeeping, food services, and grounds staff.

“I want to thank the negotiating teams who came together to achieve agreements that are fair and mutually beneficial,” said Clinton Beckford, vice-president, equity, diversity, and inclusion. “The relationships and trust further developed at the table will support our collective efforts to move the University forward in the years to come.”

All the agreements were ratified by the unions in early September.
