Nominations open for 2023 equity leadership award

The Windsor University Faculty Association’s Status of Women, Diversity, and Equity Action Committee is now accepting nominations for the Mary Lou Dietz Equity Leadership Award for 2023.

The award is named to honour Mary Lou Dietz — a late UWindsor faculty member and former head of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology — in recognition of her contributions to the advancement of women in Canadian universities and colleges.

Eligible individuals must be current, former, or a retired Windsor University Faculty Association (WUFA) members who demonstrate the spirit of equity, diversity, and inclusion in leadership exemplified by accomplishments or contributions.

Group applications will be considered to recognize and celebrate the achievements of groups through their ongoing diligence and commitment on equity, diversity, and inclusion at the University of Windsor. Eligible groups must have at least half of its members being current, former, or retired members of WUFA.

The candidate or group will have demonstrated a consistent commitment to, and provided quality work on behalf of, equity, diversity, and inclusion at the University of Windsor. Find criteria details and nomination forms on the faculty association’s website.

Nominations must include the nominee or group name, title, and credentials, as well outline the nominee’s accomplishments and contributions.

Nominations are to be received by noon on Friday, March 3:
