Students sought to share stories of success

The Office of Enrolment Management – Recruitment is looking for highly engaged UWindsor students to join the team to ignite passion for the University as student ambassadors.

The group will build relationships with prospective students and applicants by sharing their enthusiasm for all aspects of the UWindsor academic and student-life experience.

“Our goal is to recruit a group who will represent a variety of UWindsor experiences, with a focus on their undergraduate story,” says the program co-ordinator, Achol Bab.

Students with lived experiences and fluency in a second language associated with the following international regions are encouraged to apply: Latin America, Brazil, Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, China, West Africa, East Africa, South-East Asia, Europe, Central Asia, and the U.S.

Student ambassadors contribute to recruitment by sharing their stories on how they’ve thrived at events, conducting tours, connecting virtually with prospects and applicants, conducting call campaigns, and creating content for the University’s digital engagement channels.

Bab says the office is looking for students who have come directly from high school or as a transfer student; from Windsor-Essex or from around the globe; those involved in varsity athletics, arts, residence life, co-op, student government, research, or volunteering.

“The bottom line: we’re looking for students who are passionate and love all things UWindsor and are ready to inspire the next generation of Lancers to thrive,” she says.

Students can view the job description through MySuccess, where they will find two job postings under Job Reference #76788 and Job reference #76786. The application is due on Sunday, April 30, and can be sent directly to Achol.Bab@uwindsor.ca.
