Voting continues until 3 p.m. today for the Graduate Student Society executive elections.
The Graduate Student Society invites its members to create teams of six to eight players for its annual Inter-faculty Cup soccer tournament on Sunday, June 9, on Alumni Field at the south campus stadium.
The event is also open to faculty and staff members, and will feature a free barbecue lunch. Besides bragging rights, the winning team will receive a trophy and a $150 gift card.
Renovations to the former financial aid office in the Education Building will make it a wonderful home for the Graduate Student Society, says its president.
“We are very much excited,” says Kannappan Thiagaraja, a master’s student of civil engineering. “The new grad space is going to provide enough room for people to have a get-together and hold functions. Our current building is really lacking space.”
