Enbridge Gas gave an incentive rebate to the University in support of its energy efficiency projects.

Unalarmed: Contractor to shut down law building fire alarms Monday

Project work in the Ron W. Ianni Law Building will shut down its fire alarms from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, July 23, reports Facility Services.

During this period, the contractor will maintain a fire watch to ensure the safety of the building occupants. Please direct any questions or concerns to project administrator Kevin Francis at 519-253-3000, ext. 2077.

Inspections to ensure safe operation of fume hoods

The inspection of fume hoods in Essex Hall and the LeBel Building this week will ensure they are in proper working order, says project administrator Kevin Francis of Facility Services.

The hoods remove fumes, exhaust and smoke from people working with chemicals.

Contractors from James A. Smith Engineering Ltd. (JASEL) will conduct inspections of fume hoods in these buildings on Thursday and Friday, April 26 and 27, from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
