The Leddy Library is hosting several presentations promoting greater access to research results in observance of Open Access Week.
eCampus Ontario has announced a funding call for proposals for research and innovation projects related to online and technology-enabled learning.
This announcement is part of a $1.5 million funding initiative in 2016-2018 aimed at supporting Ontario’s higher education teachers to experiment with innovative pedagogical approaches and technologies, to evaluate the outcomes of the project, and disseminate that learning widely to the benefit of others.
Funding for online programs, courses, and open content development is now available through a call for proposals issued by eCampus Ontario.
An exciting week of activities to celebrate Open Education Week awaits the campus March 7 to 11.
Open Education Week is a global event showcasing open educational activities around the world, and the Office of Open Learning and Leddy Library are joining forces to highlight some of the work UWindsor is doing in this area.
“We have a full slate of activities scheduled for the week, so I’m sure there will be something for everyone,” says Nick Baker, director of the Office of Open Learning.
The Office of Open Learning has launched a greatly expanded program of support for faculty interested in developing online courses, says director Nick Baker. A new workshop series, an intensive two-day Online Course Design Institute, a community of practice, and a non-credit Certificate in Online and Open Learning are all in the works.
A two-hour workshop Friday, October 30, will introduce participants to Blackboard Collaborate.
eCampus Ontario portal provides access to more than 13,000 online courses offered by Ontario universities and colleges.
