The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada is featuring UWindsor professor Ahmet Alpas in a showcase of researchers it funds.

The council has produced a video entitled 2 Minutes with Ahmet T. Alpas and is promoting it on the NSERC Web site.

Dr. Alpas is a professor in the Department of Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering and holds the NSERC/General Motors/University of Windsor Industrial Research Chair in the Tribology of Lightweight Materials.

He has been working in partnership with General Motors of Canada Limited to produce lightweight metal components for energy-efficient vehicles.
