Campaign to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Staff and students involved in Lancer athletics are teaming up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the hope of making some dreams come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Athletics director Gord Grace is leading a contingent of student-athletes, coaches and other staff in “Go Blue, Go Gold and Go Bald.” The volunteers are dyeing all or part of their hair blue and encouraging sponsors to pledge to the foundation.

“The idea is that we would maintain the blue hair or a strand of blue hair until the very end of the playoffs, when the last Lancer varsity team competes, then come together in an special event at the St. Denis Centre to cut or shave off the blue hair,” Grace says.

He says close to 100 people have agreed to participate.
