Lancer women’s hockey team looking to deck the halls against Queen’s

The Lancer women’s hockey team will undergo a location change for its December 1 game against the Queen’s Gaels.

The game will be played at Tecumseh Arena, 12021 McNorton Street in the town of Tecumseh, due to a scheduling conflict at the Lancers’ usual South Windsor Arena.

After losing 3-2 on Saturday to Laurier and 2-1 against Waterloo on Sunday afternoon, the Lancers boast a 9-5-2 record, good for fifth place in Ontario University Athletics.

“We’re a pretty close team and we have a great captain this year who keeps us on track so we should succeed and end up at least in the top four if we continue staying focused and giving our full effort,” says rookie defender Natalie Barrette.

Saturday’s game, the last before the holiday break, will start at 4:10 p.m. The team has nine regular-season games scheduled in the new year.
