Canterbury ElderCollege offering classes and day trips

Registration has already opened for what promises to be the biggest semester yet for the Canterbury ElderCollege, says coordinator Catherine Fettes.

“A community of individuals 55 years and better with a zest for learning and exploring life, we provide affordable classes and day trips designed to appeal to a wide variety of interests,” she says.

Now in its second year, the program offers 74 courses, including three trips. Fettes says the emphasis is on the joy of learning with no pressure, exams or homework. Instructors include UWindsor professors Gordon Drake, Beth Daly, Don Laing and Max Nelson and professors emeritus Lloyd Brown-John, Louis MacKendrick and Trevor Price.
