University begins collective bargaining talks with faculty association

The University of Windsor began collective bargaining discussions with the Windsor University Faculty Association (WUFA) on Wednesday, May 7.

The University announced its intentions to file for a conciliation officer to be in place. This was done to ensure that talks may progress as efficiently and as productively as possible toward the goal of having a new agreement in place by the end of June.

The association represents more than 850 academic staff including faculty, librarians and sessional instructors. Its current contract expires on June 30, 2014.
